This vegetable steamer is great for making any fresh veggies for meals. It's like your average steamer in which it changes sizes to fit the pans that you will be using it. Unlike those average steamers though, this one is a higher quality and comes with a julienne peeler as well. It's very easy to use also. You place your steamer in the pan, fill with a small amount of water. I usually use a half cup for the size of the pot pictured. Place the vegetables in the steamer and then cover with a lid and bring to a boil. I than let it sit covered while the steam continues to come out of the lid until my vegetables are tender. Some things I leave in for longer than others depending on how well I want them steamed. Broccoli and cauliflower I leave in for less than carrots as I like them a little crunchy. But corn and carrots I leave in for a while because I like them squishy soft. I highly recommend this steamer because of it's high quality and great customer service. You won't be disappointed in your purchase.
