I was given this product to review in a different way than usual. I was provided the money to purchase the product on my own and then would give my review after purchasing. They were at my local Walgreens and very easy to find. I found them with the other boxed chocolates in the candy aisle. These chocolate cheesecake bites are amazingly delicious! It has a trio of flavors; chocolate fudge, dolce de leche, and my favorite, strawberry. Each bite is something delicious. The strawberry has a white chocolate coating that is just the right amount of sweet. It has the littlest crunch, that to me resembles the texture of the graham cracker crust. The strawberry is what I think is what tops it!

 

So tasty! The chocolate fudge is a lot sweeter to me but only because it is really fudge like. And the caramel just melts in your mouth! They are all delicious bites of cheesecake that you can eat one and be satisfied. I won't lie though, I had 3 the first time because I had to try one of each. But now I just each one when I need a sugary craving. Which happens to be usually once a day since I am in a lot of pain after my most recent hospital visit to get some stitches. But this would be great for birthdays, valentines day, or anniversary's. These can be found at your local Walgreens so you can give these as a gift or have them for yourself!

ASD Reading

 

Spoken language is the mainstay of intervention for children on the spectrum. Even when they cannot speak, the children receive hundreds of hours in speech/language therapy. Spoken language is deemed to be so critical that any sounds—even those that just approximate words—are welcomed. The effort can go on for years—even when the children are showing minimal, if any, progress.

By contrast, remarkably little work is put into the "other" form of language—that is, literacy (reading and writing). Recently, when asked about what he is offering in literacy, the director of a school for children 4-10 years replied: "We don't have programs in that area. We have so many more important things to teach." He is not alone. For many, literacy is not viewed as a critical skill.

Imagine what parents of neurotypical (NT) children would do if told, "Reading and writing are not in our curriculum. There are just too many more important things your child has to learn." They know that literacy is a, if not THE, single most valuable skill a child can master. It is the path to school success, jobs, and intellectual growth. The consequences for failing to teach it to children on the spectrum are incalculable.

 

 

This program is fantastic for children of all ages who fall on the spectrum. Much of it can be catered to the child and you can focus on areas that they need; specifically verbal or spelling. There are multiple levels to the program that allow for personal growth. Literacy is the single most valuable skill a child can master and if you are an autistic child, you might not be able to reach that growth.

 

You can sign your child/children up for a year long package or do it month to month. You also get a discount if you want to sign multiple children up for it. In my case, this is great for in my classroom where I have multiple children on the disorder and I can monitor their growth via the progress on the program. It's already shown a dramatic increase in those who are non-verbal! The programs are fun and functional. You can program it to your tablet/touch screen electronic or use the keyboard on a regular computer/laptop. The program is really interactive and cute. It keeps kids focused!

I received this gorgeous Jade Garden badge reel for review recently. It's ironic because I was I was leaving to school, I grabbed the mail and saw I had a package. It was the badge reel. I put it in my purse thinking I would just review it at some point while at school, but as it turns out, I had to change it right then and there. My previous badge reel broke that very day. The string was pulled so frequently that it just split into two pieces. It probably doesn't help I have so many keys and heavy stuff on my lanyard at any point in time. But thankfully I had a quick replacement. This one is very beautiful and gorgeously made. Almost a piece of jewelry in a way. I've been fortunate to review many baby slings. Out of all of the wraps and slings I have been given, I think this is by far one of the best. It is made of bamboo so that it is amazingly soft on both you and baby. You can carry anywhere from 5lbs to 30lbs so you can get by for a long while having baby close by and on you. It also is longer than most slings so that you can wrap your growing baby for some time before they outgrow it. The nicest thing of all is that the color is great for boy or girl! It's really unisex and conforms to you and baby. You won't find another sling/wrap better than this!
